Stories have held Diva’s heart since she was born. From the adventures her grandmother would paint for her in vivid words at bedtime, to the stacks and stacks of books she’d consume across her schooldays, to the films and TV shows that inspired her purpose from a young age, she knew who she was and what she wanted to bring to the world. She began acting as a small child, in school plays and productions, seizing every opportunity to be center stage, and continues to work on her craft as a performer to this day. Surrounded by much love throughout her life, she has a deeply empathetic perspective that shapes her worldview and her work. It has inspired her to try and share how she sees the world through storytelling and film. Her filmmaking has grown from creating short skits to developing larger, more complex narratives that allow her to explore the ideas and messages she hopes to share her audience. Her approach to filmmaking really centers on emotion, as the purpose of film to her is to make people feel, and everything in her work is geared towards that singular purpose. Through her work, she hopes to foster a fire of connection, creating films that help people see themselves, each other, and the world with a greater empathy.
